On an obscure street in north Atlanta lined with tall pines and overgrown, mid-century gems lies this personal and first-ever interior design project by Harry Young Design. Purchased at the height of COVID lockdowns, this home was imagined as a cloistered escape from a world thrown into chaos. Inspired by the warmth of the dark, vaulted ceilings and verdant surroundings, we sought to make this home a pandemic Eden of warmth, comfort, and shelter. Textures, eclectic furnishings, and surprising decor elements mingle in a soothing palette of neutrals and cool, muted tones. This project was the result of a long process of tinkering, refinement, and self-discovery—a personal laboratory of nurture and play for a newfound passion for design.
